An idea is born. . .

Owner and product designer Jim Hoefler built a temporary wall for his daughters’ apartment in 2011. They sublet the resulting bedroom space for $650/month!

But when they moved, the wall fell apart as Jim removed it, and sadly, it all ended up in the dumpster. This got Jim thinking:

Wouldn’t it be great if there was a sustainable DIY way to add and remove walls in your living space as needs and desires changed over time?

Of course it would great if you could do that. And that’s how XoomRooms was born!
